Silverware Snowflakes with Burlap Ribbon |
In an earlier post, I showed you photos of my
bar table decorated for the holidays. The table is located beside this big window in our eating area. With the silver wreath already hanging on the mirror over the bar table, I knew I needed something besides another wreath to go on this window.
I have plenty of vintage silverware on hand and I thought the three pieces tied together would make great sparkling snowflakes. I wired the knife, fork, and spoon together then covered the wire with a scrap of burlap tied around the center. They are hanging from the curtain rod with jute. One trick to help them hang vertical without tilting, tie the jute around the center of the snowflake then tape it against the backside of the knife blade.

Vintage Silverware Snowflakes and Disco Ball Ornaments |
The vintage silver didn't sparkle as brightly as I wanted it to, so I robbed the Christmas tree of these two
disco ball ornaments, added crystal prisms, and for night time, a string of white lights. It's really pretty first thing in the morning when the sun is shining in too. The the disco balls reflect all sorts of dots into the kitchen and den.
(The disco ball ornaments link is to Amazon. I'm not an affiliate, just passing along where you can find them. They are also sold at Cracker Barrel Restaurants if you have one in your area!)
Thanks for stopping by and God bless!

DeleteHi Angie, I think that these are so creative and are great to for Winter décor! Thanks so much for linking them to Share Your Cup Thursday. (a couple of weeks ago). I'm sure it's not intentional, but I'm not seeing a link back to the party. I wanted to feature you. Because of no link I will hi-lite this post on my facebook page if that's alright with you. Happy to be a new follower.
